Ways to Go Green Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day, instead of doing anything myself, I'd rather tell other people what to do to save their planet. I am Captain Planet.

Ways to Go Green

When people think of Being Green they normally associate it with growing corn or something. False. Being Green can mean an assortment of lies but in the case of Earth Day it means doing your part to help the economy er... I mean the environment.

  • Eco-Friendly Light Bulb An ENERGY STAR qualified compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) will save about $30 over its lifetime and pay for itself in about 6 months. It uses 75 percent less energy and lasts about 10 times longer than an incandescent bulb.
This bulb may blind you at first but remember its for the Planet. The Earth will high five your corpse later after you've died and it lives on. Saving energy means reducing the runoff that pollutes our planet or so they say.
  • Phthalates Diagram According to National Geographics The Green Guide you should dodge phthalates and stop using synthetic fragrances. If you see these esters of phthalic acid that are used as a substance to make plastics flexible; make sure you stay away. As awesome as synthetic fragrances may be, you need to find another alternative to covering up the foul smell emitting from your body.
    Try whale blubber.
  • Jolly Green GiantDiscovery's Planet Green wants you to start dating Green. They list the Jolly Green Giants version of myspace where you can date other hot vegetarians such as yourself.
Now a site like Veggie Romance might seem like some kind sick sexual fetish, but to those that don't have their minds in the gutter, it is actually a networking site where environmentally friendly vegetarians and vegans can hook up.
  • Electric ScooterIf you're tired of driving around a gas guzzling, engine roaring (with the ferocity of a dying rhino) and smog emitting poor excuse for a transportation device car then get yourself the EVO suggested Electric Scooter .
No longer will people point at you and laugh (as much) because deep down they'll know that you're doing it for the environment. Don't worry, the environment will put out in a big way and everybody wins epically.

There are many ways to being Eco-Friendly and contributing to protecting mother earth from ourselves but it all starts with caring. You first have to actually care. Jumping on the "lets help the earth bandwagon" without really having a reason or purpose will leave you with douchebag results. I don't really think there is a way to reverse most of the damage done to our planet but we can continue the struggle in preserving what we have left. We may not be here to witness the effects our efforts may have but our children and our childrens childrens childrens childrens illegitimate children will be able to. So do this for them and quit being selfish jerks.
